The NBCC March event is indeed a trip to Erin, Tennessee
to participate in that city's Saint Patrick's Day Parade. The city's
name gives you a clue that this is an event they couldn't pass up, and
neither should we! Last year was our first trip to the parade and it
was a fun day in a little Tennessee burg!
Erin is a bit West of Nashville,
and Mike King has asked us to gather at 8:00AM in front of the Bellview
Mall's food court entrance so he can count noses and lead us to Erin
for the 9:30AM parade. If you are in a spirited mood, you might want to
bring some candy as lots of kids are hoping for a bit of a "sugar toss"
from the cars, tractors, wagons, trucks.....and whatever crazy things
"someone brung" that ends up in the parade. Last year we ate at one of
the little restaurants in town before heading home on some of
Tennessee's lovely backroads.
Mike doesn't need official
RSVPs but if most of us let him know we're going, he can keep count and
tell the organizers that the British Are Coming in force to awe the
Irish! Carol and I hope to see you there at 8:00.
