NBCC April Drive
The April NBCC event began at the home of John and Lucy Nading on a picture perfect morning. We began with coffee and doughnuts and a guided tour of Lucy's beautiful gardens. Lucy and her gardens have been profiled on the Volunteer Gardener show on PBS. From there the Nadings' Silver Shadow led the Van Voorhies' TVR, the Adam's TR4, the Thompson's Singer, the Trusty's Europa and the Damon's XJS through Belle Meade, West Meade, down River Road through Ashland City, then through Scottsboro and Joelton to our destination at the dead end of Rawlins Road which was a gorgeous setting called Shadowbrook. Sitting on the banks of Big Marrowbone Lake Shadowbrook offers a absolutely beautiful setting for dinners, weddings, retreats or any type of gathering. We all walked along the edge of the lake teeming with wildlife including fish, frogs and ducks before enjoying a great chicken dinner and socializing before heading our separate ways. Another fun tour for all with many thanks to John and Lucy for putting it together for us.
