March NBCC Drive

 On March 28th 13 hardcore NBCC members, possibly suffering from cabin fever, chose to brave the elements and met under threatening skies at the Whites Creek post office for the first tour of the season. We found some really neat twisty curvy roads in the northern part of Davidson county with a few questions along the way. Then a lunch stop in White House at Hollywood's Grill and Fun Center (they have an arcade). From there is was a quick drive to Sumner Crest Winery in Portland. The lady working the wine tastings there is a fantastic storyteller and kept the group entertained the whole time. The owner of the winery is a car buff and there was a very nice 1930 Ford Model A roadster on display. There were a few sprinkles on the way home but otherwise the weather co-operated and we had a really nice day.  Here are some pictures from the trip:
